Children's Display Case Open to the Community

A display case has been added to the Children's Department in the most recent renovations. This has given us a great opportunity to display specialty items and accompanying books on a particular theme near our reading nook. Recent displays have featured Unicorns, Thomas the Tank Engine, Bells and Amercian Girl Dolls. We would now like to offer the opportunity for members of the community to display some unique items. For more information on how to showcase your items in the display case please call 385-4165. Or print the request form and bring it into the Children's Department.

Policy and Procedures for Scheduling Library Display Case

The display case located on the 2nd floor of the Stratford Library is available for scheduled use by patrons in the community.

Content of the display should be of general interest to the community, and especially to children of Stratford. Questions of context will be referred to the SLA Board of Directors. The library reserves the right to deny requests.

Children's Department staff is responsible for placing the materials in the cases. Exhibitors are responsible for picking up their items at the designated time. Exhibits will be changed monthly. The library is not responsible for the security of materials.

Request forms are available on the Stratford Library Association web site or in the Children's Department. The request form should be returned to the office at least one month prior to the desired display date. Two weeks before the display is to be installed a reminder will be sent to you.
